Fits Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Car (Rear)
The GiroDisc system is an upgrade to a 2-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination and is a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc. The 2-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. The Giro Disc rotors are lighter than OEM pieces. The reduction in rotational and unsprung weight (approx. 8 lbs) allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Discovery Parts RF-1 brake fluid (also available from CompetitionMotorsport.com), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.

Discovery Parts is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products. As one of the largest stocking dealers in the country, we ship most Girodisc products the same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline.
Fits Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Gen 5
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc, they will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.
The central hat section of the Girodisc rotor is made from strictly USA-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc's own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The rotor utilizes a curved-vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump forcing cool air through the disc.
The disc and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the US by Girodisc and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the loads from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. They are secured by class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers.
In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise springs on the disc side, allowing the iron disc to expand as it heats up while eliminating the rattle and noise commonly associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the brake pads.
Once the Girodisc system is in place, you simply replace the cast iron discs when needed. This reduces cost over time by allowing you to re-use the aluminum central hats.

A2-266 Girodisc 2pc REAR Brake Rotors GT4 ClubSport
$1,700.00
This Girodisc system is a 380mm two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination, a direct-replacement upgrade for the one-piece OEM GT4 Clubsport steel brakes. The A2-266 will bolt directly to the GT4 ClubSport and work perfectly with your OEM calipers. There are two main reasons for replacing your OEM rotors: first, the Girodisc rotors are designed to shed heat more effectively than the original rotors; second, the slotted Girodisc A2-266 will far outlast the OEM drilled rotors. When subjected to intense heat in a racing or track-day environment, the drilled holes in the OEM rotors originate cracks which can lead to rotor failure. When paired with the Girodisc A1-266 front rotors, your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Discovery Parts RF1 brake fluid (also available from CompetitionMotorsport.com), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.

A2-282 Girodisc BMW G8X M2, M3, M4 370mm Rear Rotors
$1,300.00
Discovery Parts is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products and one of the largest stocking dealers in the country. We ship most products same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline.
These GiroDisc 2-piece rotors are designed as direct replacements for the rear rotors found on the G80 M3, G82/83 M4, and G87 M2 models without carbon ceramic brakes. Featuring fully floating assemblies, they effectively reduce unsprung weight and rotating mass from the vehicle's axle.
The rotor rings are precision-machined from a proprietary casting of high-carbon iron formulated to GiroDisc’s exact specifications. This advanced metallurgical composition ensures superior durability, while the 48 curved vanes function as a centrifugal pump, drawing air through the hub to efficiently cool the rotors during demanding conditions. The 2-piece design incorporates a reusable hat, allowing easy attachment to new rings (part number D2-282) when replacement is necessary.
All key components, including hats, rotor rings, and drive pins, are manufactured in-house at our Bellingham, WA facility using domestically sourced materials. The hat is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum and features a durable black anodized finish. Drive pins are made from a high-strength steel alloy and coated with cadmium for enhanced corrosion resistance. Rotors are assembled with spring clips and Belleville washers to ensure optimal float for racing applications, while maintaining quiet operation on the street without the risk of loose hardware.
We recommend replacing the rotor rings when they reach a minimum thickness of 22mm or if a crack extends to the edge of the ring.
These rotors are sold and priced per pair.

Iron Disc Benefits
So what can AP Racing J Hook iron discs do for a car previously equipped with carbon ceramic discs?
Increased airflow and slower heat transfer to other brake components- AP Racing J Hook discs have a unique, high-count vane design that promotes airflow, heat evacuation, and rapid cooling. They don't rely on a large surface area to cool via radiation. The iron discs will move more air than your carbon ceramic's, and as a result they won't heat your brake pads, caliper pistons, and brake fluid up as quickly. You'll be able to run longer sessions without brake fade, and you'll enjoy the confidence that comes along with them. They'll also make any brake ducts that you have on the car more effective and useful.
Huge range of compatible brake pad compounds- Iron discs will open up a much greater range of available brake pads. You'll be able to achieve a different feel, and tailor your brake setup depending on your needs and environment, whether that is running an AutoX or the most demanding racetrack in your area. You'll also likely be paying less per brake pad set than you were previously, and your pads will last longer.
Inexpensive spare discs- You'll no longer have to spend thousands of dollars when it's time to replace your discs. AP Racing J Hook's typically only cost $400-600 per iron disc ring, so you won't have to stress about anything happening to them. They're inexpensive enough that you can always keep a spare set on hand, so you won't have to worry about any brake-related downtime when you're out at the track.
Durability- Iron discs can take a beating. You can stash your spares in your race trailer, and you won't have to worry about handling them, covering them, dinging them, or chipping them when changing your wheels.
As you can see, although iron discs do come with a slight weight penalty, they're still the smart choice if you run your car hard on the racetrack. They're the obvious solution that has been proven countless times on tracks around the world, at all levels of motorsport.
Among iron disc choices, there are none better than AP Racing J Hooks. AP Racing J Hook Discs are the epitome of endurance racing components. They will hold up extremely well to any abuse you plan to throw at them. These discs have been proven time and again in professional racing, winning many races and championships (SRO, IMSA, WEC, Rolex, etc.).
Two-piece Floating Design with Aluminum Hat
As is the case with most metal, iron brake discs grow substantially when heated. As it is heated, a disc expands radially, increasing in diameter and circumference. One-piece disc designs run into problems when this occurs. Look at the picture below and imagine the disc is being heated on the track. As the disc expands, the outer edges of the disc are pulling away from the center of the disc, but there are no built-in provisions to allow for that expansion. The edges of the disc therefore pull, lift, and distort, which is called coning. Now imagine that disc vertical on the car, running in your caliper. Coning directly impacts the brake pads’ contact with the disc, leading to uneven wear and tapering, and even a long brake pedal.
Two-piece discs on the other hand, compensate for the expansion of the disc as it heats. This is accomplished by building ‘float’ into either the disc itself, or the disc hat/bell. In this case, the float is in the disc. If you look closely at the picture below, you can see that the mounting holes for the hat attachment bobbins are not round. They are an oblong shape. These channels allow the hat mounting hardware to slide as the disc is heated and expands, allowing the disc to run true in the caliper without distortion. That means less distortion, stress cracks, and pad taper.

CALPIER REBUILD KIT FOR ALFA GUILIA CCM FRONT 28mm/32mm/38mm
GiroDisc CCRK1-209 front caliper rebuild kit for Alfa Guilia CCM front caliper with 28mm/32mm/38mm seals.
Track days can be especially hard on the piston seals and dust boots in your brake calipers. Heat, in particular, will do a number on them. (Titanium heat shields behind your pads can help with that.) This kit is put together from the highest-quality components to rebuild a brake caliper back to like-new condition.
One kit is required per caliper (we suggest doing them both as long as you're doing it). Once you rebuild them, get the Ti heat shields as well and lengthen the interval between rebuilds. The shields and seals are available as a kit for convenience (and a bit of savings).
We only source superior quality brake components (brakes for track use are serious business); some kits don't take it as seriously. Any questions give us a call, we're happy to help!
