All HANS SFI 38.1 devices must be recertified every five years. RECERTIFICATION EXAMPLE If, for instance, your device was last certified in April 2020, you'll need to get it recertified before May 1, 2025. Recertification typically consists of cleaning, damage inspection, and installation of a brand new tether system. A HANS device passing inspection gets a new SFI 38.1 compliance sticker punched with the new date of certification. This device will now be valid for five years. AN IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT OVERNIGHT SHIPPING Discovery Parts guarantees that we will return your device via UPS standard overnight shipping. Be aware, however, that UPS does not guarantee next-day delivery and so we can't either. Discovery Parts will ship your device on the next business day following receipt of the device at our shop. TO GET YOUR HANS DEVICE EXPRESS RECERTIFIED: Pay for your 24-Hour Express Recertification. Print out and complete this form, being sure to put your 24-Hour Express Recertification order number on the form. Pack your device and the completed form securely, and ship it insured and trackable to the address on the form. We will inspect your device and recertify your HNR device. If there's any problem with recertifying it, we will notify you immediately. Your recertified device will be shipped back to you via UPS Standard Overnight no later than the next business day following receipt at our shop.

HANS/HNR Device Recertification PLEASE DO NOT PREPAY for a certification service. If you have shipped us an HNR device for recertification, we will contact you to discuss what level of service your device requires. (The most common is Level 2, an SFI label and a tether.) If you have not yet shipped us your HNR device, see the instructions below for doing so. HANS DEVICE RECERTIFICATION Discovery Parts is certified by Simpson Racing to inspect, repair, and recertify all HANS devices that have an SFI 38.1 tag (silver metal foil decal). Discovery Parts recertifies HNR devices at our store inside Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) as well as trackside at track many events and races. You can ship your HNR device to us for recertification by printing this form, filling it out, and sending it to us along with your device. If you are coming directly to our AMP store location with your HNR device, please call beforehand to confirm that one of our certified inspection technicians will be at the AMP store when you arrive.
