CMS RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid
Competition Motorsport CMS RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid from $21.95
Real-Life High Boiling Point Without The Real High Price RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.) On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot. So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days. The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid. RF1 Racing Brake Fluid Details: Typical dry boiling point: 328º C (622º F) Typical wet boiling point: 204º C (399º F) Exceeds DOT3 & DOT4 standards Bottle size: 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) Click Here for Product MSDS Sheet A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point. To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!

RP2â has strong initial bite, a little less modulation than our XP12â , but still maintains the rotor friendliness of our XPâ series compounds. RP2â has great fade resistance with a temperature range of 250 F to 1450 F+ (121 C to 787 C). RP2â is as rotor friendly as our XPâ series compounds. Carbotechâ RP2â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotechâ 913 Kelated Metallicâ A D.O.T.-approved high-performance compound for brake shoes on high performance street vehicles and race cars. Carbotechâ Kelated Metallic (CKM) achieves a very high coefficient of friction (approx. 0.48 to 0.50) by taking advantage of a chemical reaction within the friction mass, which creates a tri-alloy metallic film at the liner/drum interface when subjected to heat and pressure. Designed to overcome the shortcomings of other liner materials, CKM is a very versatile and provides excellent braking performance in a wide variety of applications. Excellent wear characteristics and a very high resistance to lock-up under hard braking. Optimal recommended operating temperature range is from ambient to 750 F. Ferodo FCP578 BMW E36 M3 Rear Brake Pads
Ferodo Ferodo FCP578 BMW E36 M3 Rear Brake Pads from $215.02
Ferodo FCP578 Brake Pad Set BMW Fitment  BMW E36 M3 Rear calipers DS3.12Released in 2019, the DS3.12 represents the latest advancement in Ferodo's renowned DS line. In the realm of sports cars, the demands placed on brake systems have intensified, with increased horsepower, sophisticated aerodynamics, higher curb weights, and stickier tires. Addressing these demands head-on, the Ferodo DS3.12 is a modern pad compound meticulously designed to cater explicitly to these challenges. Extensive testing has revealed that, among all pad compounds from various manufacturers, the DS3.12 exhibits the most consistent torque curve across a wide temperature range. Consequently, whether you're tackling turns, driving on any track or completing lap after lap, the brake pedal response remains remarkably consistent, offering exceptional reliability and repeatability. With a higher mu (friction coefficient) compared to Ferodo's other compounds, the DS3.12 requires less leg pressure to initiate the desired braking performance. Furthermore, it exhibits superior fade resistance, ensuring optimal performance at any temperature your brakes may encounter. Dyno testing has demonstrated that the DS3.12 maintains superior wear rates while being gentle on the discs. As a result, we anticipate the DS3.12 will establish itself as the benchmark against which other race compounds are measured.DS1.11The DS1.11, in contrast to the DS3.12, possesses a lower mu at all temperatures, making it a moderate mu pad in the realm of endurance racing compounds. It necessitates greater pedal force compared to the DS3.12 and exhibits a slight decline in torque as temperatures rise. Consequently, as you push deeper into a turn with increasing heat, you may find yourself applying more pressure on the brake pedal to achieve the same response—a sensation preferred by some drivers. Certain drivers find the DS1.11 to be more manageable when using street tires, particularly as it is less prone to activating the ABS system. While the DS1.11 offers a longer lifespan compared to many other pad compounds on the market, it falls slightly short of the longevity of the DS3.12. When maintained with a proper pad transfer layer, it remains gentle on discs even at elevated track temperatures. While the DS1.11 boasts excellent maximum temperature tolerance and fade resistance, it does not quite reach the same levels as the DS3.12. To date, we have not received reports of fading issues with the DS1.11, and most individuals differentiate between the DS1.11 and DS3.12 based on their respective tactile experiences.DS2500While we always recommend using dedicated race pads for track use, the DS2500 stands out as one of the premier hybrid street/track pads available. It combines the advantages of a track pad, such as a moderately high bite and solid fade resistance, with the comparatively lower levels of dust and noise typically associated with street pads. As a street pad, it may produce some squealing noise in specific vehicle applications, particularly when driven aggressively. For individuals who engage in spirited street driving, canyon runs, autocross, and occasional light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is hard to surpass. DS3000 The predecessor to DS1.11, DS3000 offers high initial bite with excellent feel and release. Popular among rally teams, DS3000 has a relatively low cold temperature threshold while still offering high temp stability for tarmac. DS3000 is very easy on discs at the expense of pad wear. The kit consists of aluminium calipers with opposed pistons which, depending on the car model and in increasing order of performance, may be composite, monoblock or even billet monobloc components, combined with cross-drilled or slotted one-piece or composite oversized discs. Brembo kits combine the best solutions available to offer the perfect solution for the individual characteristics of each model. The heart of the kit consists of aluminium calipers. These are also available as monoblock parts machined from a single billet of cast aluminium, which ensure outstanding rigidity and minimised deformation. The discs supplied in the kit, which may either be floating or one-piece, depending on the specific car model, feature an exclusive venting system that improves cooling capacity and increases resistance to cracking caused by thermal shock by over 40%. Cross-drilled and slotted finishes are designed and executed with meticulous precision. These holes or slots in the braking surface help dissipate heat and eliminate brake dust and gases. A set of high-performance brake pads with specific friction materials for each application, T√úV/DOT homologated metal-braided hoses, an adapter and high-quality fastener hardware complete the kit. More Braking Torque and Thermal Capacity on Track Using radial-mounted fixed calipers together with oversized discs gives the system greater braking torque and superior thermal capacity. The result is a braking action that is noticeably more immediate and decisive even in normal road usage, and is extraordinarily powerful and consistent under the repeated loads of track use. Fixed calipers improve the durability and efficiency of the system: the opposed multiple pistons act on the pads with more precision, due to the smaller piston diameter and the reduced pressure exerted on each individual piston, while the greater overall surface area between the pads and pistons results in more uniform friction surface wear. The superlative stiffness of the calipers and the metal braided hoses reduce brake fluid absorption. The result is improved, more stable brake pedal pressure, making it possible to modulate braking force more precisely and enhancing pedal feel. Featuring a hat in aluminium alloy, the oversized floating disc system reduces unsprung mass (for improved handling) and thermal stress. The mounting system is engineered to permit a greater degree of both radial and axial float. This characteristic, together with the greater dimensions of the braking rotor surface, improves the dispersion of the heat generated by the repeated, intense thermal stress that the discs are subjected to, for consistent braking performance and pedal feel even after numerous laps on the track. Eye-Catching and Unique Looks With a combination of painted calipers (available in red, yellow, black or silver) flaunting the Brembo logo, and slotted or cross-drilled discs, the Gran Turismo kit gives an unmistakably sporty, eye-catching look to the car, offering that extra special touch for drivers who want their vehicle to stand out from the crowd. Catering to the more discerning driver is the GT-R line of kits. These offer even more performance and consist of billet-monoblock calipers, slotted discs in diameters up to 405 mm and special high performance pads.
