RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.)
On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot.
So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days.
The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid.

A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid
All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point.
To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!

The semi-metallic compound maintains a consistent coefficient of friction from 0o to 1000o F, making them an ideal option for people looking for a dual-purpose pad that works really well on both the street and the race track. The formula has very little compressibility, ensuring a very firm pedal and immediate bite and making the S/S pads a favorite among autocrossers and drivers who demand the most out of their street cars. Inevitably, these will dust more than Girodisc Magic Pads, but with the included anti-noise shims that come on every set of pads, they will not make any noise when bedded-in properly.
We recommend always replacing pads as a whole car set when switching compounds. All Girodisc S/S come with anti-noise shields pre-installed and included in the price.

The 8031 Pagid Racing Brake Pad is used on the rear of various Mercedes models. The 8031 Pagid Racing Brake Pad is only available in the RSL 19 compound.
RSL 19 is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers. It maintains a constant friction level across a broad range of temperatures. The material features very good modulation and release characteristics.

RS 14:
Outside the track day environment, RS14 has shown success in short- to medium-distance circuit racing as well as gravel and tarmac rallying. RS14 offers very low heat conductivity, resulting in lower caliper and brake fluid temperatures. RS14 offers consistent levels of performance and much longer life than competitors' products without excessive rotor wear, offering the driver supreme confidence.
The PAGID RS14 (Black) is a high-friction-value ceramic compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a constant temperature of 1,200°F (650°C). It's kind on rotors, with visible grooving but no tendency to crack them.
RS14 is our most popular ceramic-based friction material. It will tolerate much higher working disc temperatures than PAGID RS4-2, extending fade resistance.
RS14 is used as an OEM material and supplied as an upgraded track day pad by Lotus Motorsport. It has been shown to exhibit optimum levels of braking force, control and modulation on popular track-day cars such as the Lotus Elise and Caterham 7.
RSL 29:
Designed primarily for endurance racing, due to consistent levels of performance and user friendliness many competitors use this material for sprint and short distance races also. RS29 has also found favor in the growing track-day market due to the high level of control, good cold performance, long life, and low rotor wear.
The PAGID RS29 (Yellow) is the world-leading endurance brake pad used by most of the winning teams in motorsport. Based on the RS14, a slight reduction of the friction value improves modulation and longevity. The friction value remains high enough for cars without power-assisted brake systems, ensuring low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 1,100°F (600°C) are possible. This combination of friction value, fading stability, and low wear rates on pads and rotors is unmatched. Due to its excellent release characteristics and controllability, PAGID endurance materials are also often used for sprint races.
This material provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels; only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. A favorite with endurance racers at events such as Le Mans, Daytona, Spa, Nurburgring, etc. Due to the exceptional pad life and very low wear on brake discs it has been possible to run 24 hours without a change of pads or discs. This has proved suitable for applications running very high disc temperatures.

The GiroDisc replacement rotor system is a direct rotor disc replacement for the Giro Disc two-piece hat and rotor and no modifications are necessary.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
