A2-282 Girodisc BMW G8X M2, M3, M4 370mm Rear Rotors

These GiroDisc 2-piece rotors are designed as direct replacements for the rear rotors found on the G80 M3, G82/83 M4, and G87 M2 models without carbon ceramic brakes. Featuring fully floating assemblies, they effectively reduce unsprung weight and rotating mass from the vehicle's axle.

The rotor rings are precision-machined from a proprietary casting of high-carbon iron formulated to GiroDisc’s exact specifications. This advanced metallurgical composition ensures superior durability, while the 48 curved vanes function as a centrifugal pump, drawing air through the hub to efficiently cool the rotors during demanding conditions. The 2-piece design incorporates a reusable hat, allowing easy attachment to new rings (part number D2-282) when replacement is necessary.

All key components, including hats, rotor rings, and drive pins, are manufactured in-house at our Bellingham, WA facility using domestically sourced materials. The hat is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum and features a durable black anodized finish. Drive pins are made from a high-strength steel alloy and coated with cadmium for enhanced corrosion resistance. Rotors are assembled with spring clips and Belleville washers to ensure optimal float for racing applications, while maintaining quiet operation on the street without the risk of loose hardware.

We recommend replacing the rotor rings when they reach a minimum thickness of 22mm or if a crack extends to the edge of the ring.
