Old race suit has served me well -- lucky for me I've never had to use it -- it's the "just in case", and that's why I wear one (plus the rules require it) -- I was a little pensive about the "newer" technology, and the words "lighter weight and breathable" were interesting -- then decided to pull the trigger and spend some of my kids' inheritance -- I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked the box and the weight is at least half what I was wearing and the suit felt much cooler -- not bulky or sticky -- I went to the shop dressed in my new suit and got into the race seat, backed the car out into the Georgia sun and sat for about 20 minutes -- yes the inside of the car was warm, and I was happy to feel reasonably comfortable in the new suit -- in the "old" suit I would have been dripping -- I immediately felt good about my purchase --
A note on sizing -- I'm not a Euro pilot with zero body fat -- I'm 80 with a small pouch for extra storage --- if you are like me, call Discovery and speak with the sale reps to get the size closest to what you wear -- they are willing to help "fit" you even though returning is not an issue -- they like you want to get it right the first time -- or order a custom fit if you want to spend some of your kids' inheritance -- there are choices --
Cheers the old guy --
