Ferodo DS2500 Brake Compound Details:The Ferodo DS2500 is the best hybrid street and track day pad available. Designed for driving on the street, mountain runs and light track day with a stable average friction coefficient of 0,41 over a wide working temperature range of 32 to 932 F, (0 to 500 C)Featuring a moderately high initial bite and the solid fade resistance of a trackpad, but with relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When the Ferodo DS2500 is used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on most vehicle platforms. The most common use of the Ferodo DS2500 is mountain runs, autocross, and some light track duty on street tires in colder temperatures.When used on track on heavy (3,000+ lbs.+) track cars with high horsepower and R Compound tires, the DS2500 pad wear rates tend to be considerably higher vs. Ferodo Racing's other compounds. The racing compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Based on the RS14, A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Nevertheless, the friction value is enough for cars without power-assisted brake system and ensures comfortable low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1,100°F) are possible. This combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) is unmatched. Due to its excellent release characteristics and controllability PAGID endurance materials are also often used for sprint races.

Its low wear rate and disc friendliness make this material appropriate for endurance races. Applications include GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to the high friction and good modulation, often used in sprint races as well.
RSL 2:
RSL 2 is based on the RSL 1 compound but has been further improved in terms of pad and disc life as well as friction stability vs. temperature. RST 1 has a very high friction level and high temperature resistance. It is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications. Applications include Rally tarmac, GT cars and Touring cars circuit racing (sprint), high down-force formula cars, NASCAR. Suitable for applications in heavy cars and where high torque is necessary against small diameter rotors.
RST 2:
RST 2 is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications. Applications include Rally tarmac, GT cars and Touring cars circuit racing and NASCAR. Also used as rear pad in combination with RST 1 front. Recommended for GT and Touring Car racing on tracks where higher temperatures are an issue.
RST 3:
RST 3 is a medium-high friction metal-ceramic compound containing steel fibers and is therefore the perfect complement of the RST product family. It captivates by its low heat conductivity. Applications include Rally tarmac and gravel, GT cars, Touring cars and prototype circuit racing, formula cars and club racing. RST 3 suits a wide range of applications due to it‘s combination of bite, friction and controllability.
RST 4:
RST 4 is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. This material has a medium friction level and high temperature resistance. Applications include formula cars and open wheel racing. Rear axle material for Rally (tarmac and gravel) and for all front engine cars. Also used in NASCAR on long ovals.

Carbotechâ 1521â
The Carbotechâ 1521â is our high performance street compound. The 1521â compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. 1521â is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound's excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Carbotechâ 1521â operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800 F (426 C+). 1521â is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotechâ 1521â is NOT recommended for ANY track use.
Carbotechâ AX6â
The AX6â is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50 F to 1000 F + (10 C to 537 C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Many drivers use the AX6â for street driving as well, even though Carbotechâ doesn't recommend street driving with AX6â due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. AX6â is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications.
Carbotechâ XP8â
A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200 F-1250 F+ (93 C to 676 C+). Carbotechâ XP8â is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotechâ does NOT recommended XP8â as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotechâ XP8â is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers.
Carbotechâ XP10â
When Carbotechâ unleashed the XP10â to the general public it immediately gathered multiple regional, divisional, and national championships. The XP10â has a very strong initial bite with a coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1475 F (801 C). XP10â still maintains the highly praised release, excellent modulation and rotor friendliness that have made all Carbotechâ compounds so successful. Carbotechâ XP10â is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.
Carbotechâ XP12â
Another highly successful XPâ series compound with an excellent initial bite, torque and fade resistance over and above the XP10â compound. XP12â has temperature range of 250 F to 1850 F+ (121 C to 1010 C+). The XP12â has that excellent Carbotechâ release and modulation that has made all other Carbotechâ compounds so successful. The XP12â is more rotor aggressive than XP10â , but compared to the competition the XP12â is still very rotor friendly. XP12â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

The latest iteration of the highly successful XPâ series of compounds. XP20â is a step up from the highly successful XP16â compound. With an extremely aggressive initial bite, linear torque curve and excellent fade resistance the XP20â is another major step in progression of the highly successful XPâ series line of compounds from Carbotechâ . XP20â has a temperature range of 275 F to 2000 F+ (135 C to 1093 C+). Carbotechâ XP20â maintains our tradition of having the outstanding release and modulation that has made all other Carbotechâ compounds so successful. Carbotechâ XP20â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

XP24â is the pinnacle compound of the extremely successful XPâ Series of compounds engineered by Carbotechâ . This compound is based on the same fundamentals that exist in all other Carbotechâ formulations. XP24â has even more initial bite, more overall bite, and more torque along with the most linear torque curve we have ever offered. The thermal characteristics are of the highest Carbotechâ offers along with one of the highest coefficient of friction ratings offered by anyone in the braking industry. This compound is the longest wearing compound Carbotechâ offers as it was originally engineered for endurance applications at the highest pro racing levels. This revolutionary new compound has been extremely successful with open wheel, closed wheel, sprint and endurance applications. XP24â has a temperature range of 400 F to 2000 F+ (204 C to 1093 C+). Carbotechâ XP24â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise along with the necessary heat required to work properly.

The RP2â compound was engineered for endurance racing based on our highly successful XPâ Series formulations. RP2â has strong initial bite, a little less modulation than our XP12â , but still maintains the rotor friendliness of our XPâ series compounds. RP2â has great fade resistance with a temperature range of 250 F to 1450 F+ (121 C to 787 C). RP2â is as rotor friendly as our XPâ series compounds. Carbotechâ RP2â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.
Carbotechâ 913 Kelated Metallicâ
A D.O.T.-approved high-performance compound for brake shoes on high performance street vehicles and race cars. Carbotechâ Kelated Metallic (CKM) achieves a very high coefficient of friction (approx. 0.48 to 0.50) by taking advantage of a chemical reaction within the friction mass, which creates a tri-alloy metallic film at the liner/drum interface when subjected to heat and pressure. Designed to overcome the shortcomings of other liner materials, CKM is a very versatile and provides excellent braking performance in a wide variety of applications. Excellent wear characteristics and a very high resistance to lock-up under hard braking. Optimal recommended operating temperature range is from ambient to 750 F.

RS 14:
The PAGID RS14 (Black) is a high friction value ceramic compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a constant temperature of 650 degrees Celsius (1202 degrees Fahrenheit). It is kind on discs, (with visible grooving, but no tendency to crack discs).
RS14 is our most popular ceramic based friction material. Compared to RS4-2 this compound offers a good increase in initial bite and average torque, it has very good modulation characteristics and offers good control against wheel lock at all temperatures.
While showing a reduction in pad wear, particularly at high temperatures it is still very easy in terms of disc wear and shows a reduction in surface stress fractures. RS14 will also tolerate much higher working disc temperatures than RS4-2 extending further the fade resistance.
RS14 is also used as an OEM material and supplied as an up-graded track day pad by Lotus Motorsport department. It has been shown to exhibit the most suitable level of braking force, control and modulation on popular track day cars such as Lotus Elise and Caterham. Offering consistent levels of performance and a much longer life than competitors products, without excessive disc wear while offering the driver supreme confidence.
Outside the track day environment RS14 has also shown success in short to medium distance circuit racing as well as gravel and tarmac rallying. RS14 offer very low heat conductivity which allows less thermal transfer from disc through pad, thus resulting in lower caliper and brake fluid temperatures which can have a critical effect on ultimate brake performance.

The DS3000 compound is a legacy compound with over 25 years of championships due to its predictability and repeatability. Certification / Recertification example: Your device was certified or recertified in January, 2015 or earlier, it will require recertification by February 1, 2020.
A Hans device passing inspection will result in a new SFI 38.1 conformance sticker punched with the date of recertification. This device will now will be valid for five years.

Chillout Systems Carbon Fiber Air Duct Plenum
Forcing fresh air to your cooler is the most efficient way to increase cooling performance and reduce amp draw from your electrical system. This plenum fits perfectly to the intake side of your Quantum Cooler, allowing much cooler air to be forced through the system via any four-inch duct (cooler, ducting, and intake scoop not included). A minimum 150 CFM blower (sold separately) should be used in conjunction with the plenum in order to cool properly.
This carbon fiber plenum attaches via automotive-grade adhesive tape, creating a firm seal to keep the cooler pressurized with incoming cool air. This forces cool air all the way through the system and back out the exhaust side of the cooler, the most efficient way to reach maximum cooling capacity.
Coupling the Chillout Systems Air Duct Plenum with your Quantum Cooler ensures no cool air is wasted, maximizing the effectiveness of the system.
