The Sparco helmet line is a result of over 40 years of research and development experience, including wind tunnel testing. The new range was designed to meet the requirements of the new Snell SA2020 and FIA 8859-2015 ratings. The 2020 type-approval introduces new impact requirements, the helmets need to dissipate large amounts of energy in different ways. To meet these requirements Sparco is introducing new innovations for driver safety and comfort. All shells now have layers of carbon-Kevlar for greater strength. The helmets have also been wind-tunnel tested to maximize exterior vent placement and flow. The EPS interiors and padding have also been redesigned for increased airflow and driver comfort. Sparco also introduces a new size: Medium/Large. This M/L size takes advantage of using the smaller shell which is lighter and more compact. This retro inspired helmet has a white base with blue or red stripes and has a clear coat painted over. The Sparco Air Pro 1977 features a carbon-Kevlar/fiberglass construction. It includes a wider eye opening that can be used for open wheel or closed cockpit driving. Multiple exterior vents increase circulation to a redesigned interior. The interior has channels which not only cool the driver, but has additional channels which route air towards the visor, which reduces the chance of visor fogging. The Sparco Air Pro 1977 has removable, washable padding that can be repositioned for a comfortable fit. All interior seams have been removed from areas where greater pressure is exerted on the head. Sparco Eagle RS8.2 Driver Race Suit The Sparco Eagle RS-8.2 race suit uses a combination of HOCOTEX and Eagle fabrics to produce an ultra lightweight and breathable race suit. With the aim of obtaining a closer and more modern fit, preformed armholes have been used, and, in line with the requirements linked to driver mobility during a race, the elasticized panels have been optimized (armholes, sides and elasticized back). The main structure of the Sparco Eagle RS8.2 race suit, like in the previous version, is the tried and tested characteristic HOCOTEX, (single-layer weave of 0.6mm ultra-thin fabric), combined with other accessory fabrics like Sparco's Eagle elasticized fabric (well-known and used in various Sparco race suit models), and panels in contrast in flat, ultra-light cloth for anti-abrasion reinforcements on the legs and arms. The Shield Tech is homologated to the newest FIA standard 8856-2018 which provides the highest fire protection. When designing this new line of undergarments, Sparco studied the drivers seating position to ensure ultimate fit and comfort. Strategic weaving of the material produces increased breathability along with articulation. Shield Tech uses a seamless construction with ultra-soft stretchable material. There are two different woven materials in key areas; thin stretch for comfort and mobility as well as a double perforated panels for increased breathability.
