FIA's new ABP (Advanced Ballistic Protection) specification is intended especially for drivers in open cars.
The GP-7SRC ABP has been strengthened in the forehead area, incorporating an external intrusion panel (previously mounted to the shield) that is now integrated into the helmet shell itself. The ABP homologation was written to reduce the risk of injury from debris or other objects striking a driver head.

Three large, closeable, intake vents combined with larger 10mm holes and two aditional exhaust vents in the center of the helmet greatly increase air flow. A redesigned exhaust cowling improves aerodynamics, drawing out hot air escaping the helmet. The GP-7SRC comes with all vents unattached so you can customize the vent configuration to your specific needs.

An effective helmet is one that fits properly. Have an assistant use a measuring tape, or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head starting at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front, around a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement, and finally wrapping back to the front. It's a good idea to take several measurements to make sure you have the largest one.
