Introducing the GiroDisc 2-piece rotors, engineered as a direct replacement for the front rotors on the G80 M3, G82/83 M4, and G87 M2 models without carbon ceramic brakes. Our advanced 2-piece, fully floating assemblies significantly reduce unsprung weight and rotating mass from the front axle, enhancing vehicle performance.
Crafted from a proprietary high-carbon iron casting, our rotor rings are meticulously machined to GiroDisc's stringent specifications. This superior metallurgy ensures exceptional durability, while the 72 curved vanes function as a centrifugal pump, effectively cooling the rotors during intense use. The innovative 2-piece design features a reusable hat that can be easily attached to new rings (part number D1-282) when replacement is necessary.
All major components, including the hats, rotor rings, and drive pins, are manufactured in-house at our Bellingham, WA facility using domestically sourced materials. The hat is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a black anodized coating. The drive pins, made from a high-strength steel alloy, are cadmium-plated for enhanced corrosion resistance. Each rotor assembly includes spring clips and Belleville washers, ensuring race-ready float while maintaining street-friendly noise levels.
We recommend replacing the rotor rings when the thickness reaches 34mm or if a crack extends to the edge of the ring.
