If you need a thinner .585" (15mm) thick pad use the Carbotech 1001. Carbotech Brake Compounds Carbotech 1521 The Carbotech 1521 is our high performance street compound. The 1521 compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. 1521 is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound's excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Carbotech 1521 operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800F (426C+). 1521 is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotech 1521 is NOT recommended for ANY track use. Carbotech AX6 The AX6 is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50F to 1000F + (10C to 537C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Many drivers use the AX6 for street driving as well, even though Carbotech doesn't recommend street driving with AX6 due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. AX6 is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications. Carbotech XP8 A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200F-1250F+ (93C to 676C+). Carbotech XP8 is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotech does NOT recommended XP8 as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech XP8 is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers. Carbotech XP10 When Carbotech unleashed the XP10 to the general public it immediately gathered multiple regional, divisional, and national championships. The XP10 has a very strong initial bite with a coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1475 F (801 C). XP10 still maintains the highly praised release, excellent modulation and rotor friendliness that have made all Carbotech compounds so successful. Carbotech XP10 is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech XP12 Another highly successful XP series compound with an excellent initial bite, torque and fade resistance over and above the XP10 compound. XP12 has temperature range of 250 F to 1850 F+ (121 C to 1010 C+). The XP12 has that excellent Carbotech release and modulation that has made all other Carbotech compounds so successful. The XP12 is more rotor aggressive than XP10, but compared to the competition the XP12 is still very rotor friendly. XP12 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotechâ XP20â The latest iteration of the highly successful XPâ series of compounds. XP20â is a step up from the highly successful XP16â compound. With an extremely aggressive initial bite, linear torque curve and excellent fade resistance the XP20â is another major step in progression of the highly successful XPâ series line of compounds from Carbotechâ . XP20â has a temperature range of 275 F to 2000 F+ (135 C to 1093 C+). Carbotechâ XP20â maintains our tradition of having the outstanding release and modulation that has made all other Carbotechâ compounds so successful. Carbotechâ XP20â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotechâ XP24â XP24â is the pinnacle compound of the extremely successful XPâ Series of compounds engineered by Carbotechâ . This compound is based on the same fundamentals that exist in all other Carbotechâ formulations. XP24â has even more initial bite, more overall bite, and more torque along with the most linear torque curve we have ever offered. The thermal characteristics are of the highest Carbotechâ offers along with one of the highest coefficient of friction ratings offered by anyone in the braking industry. This compound is the longest wearing compound Carbotechâ offers as it was originally engineered for endurance applications at the highest pro racing levels. This revolutionary new compound has been extremely successful with open wheel, closed wheel, sprint and endurance applications. XP24â has a temperature range of 400 F to 2000 F+ (204 C to 1093 C+). Carbotechâ XP24â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise along with the necessary heat required to work properly. Carbotechâ RP2â The RP2â compound was engineered for endurance racing based on our highly successful XPâ Series formulations. RP2â has strong initial bite, a little less modulation than our XP12â , but still maintains the rotor friendliness of our XPâ series compounds. RP2â has great fade resistance with a temperature range of 250 F to 1450 F+ (121 C to 787 C). RP2â is as rotor friendly as our XPâ series compounds. Carbotechâ RP2â is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotechâ 913 Kelated Metallicâ A D.O.T.-approved high-performance compound for brake shoes on high performance street vehicles and race cars. Carbotechâ Kelated Metallic (CKM) achieves a very high coefficient of friction (approx. 0.48 to 0.50) by taking advantage of a chemical reaction within the friction mass, which creates a tri-alloy metallic film at the liner/drum interface when subjected to heat and pressure. Designed to overcome the shortcomings of other liner materials, CKM is a very versatile and provides excellent braking performance in a wide variety of applications. Excellent wear characteristics and a very high resistance to lock-up under hard braking. Optimal recommended operating temperature range is from ambient to 750 F. The 1521â compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. 1521â is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound's excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Carbotechâ 1521â operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800 F (426 C+). 1521â is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotechâ 1521â is NOT recommended for ANY track use. Carbotech AX6 The AX6â is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50 F to 1000 F + (10 C to 537 C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Many drivers use the AX6â for street driving as well, even though Carbotechâ doesn't recommend street driving with AX6â due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. AX6â is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications. Carbotech XP8 A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200 F-1250 F+ (93 C to 676 C+). Carbotechâ 913 Kelated Metallicâ A D.O.T.-approved high-performance compound for brake shoes on high performance street vehicles and race cars. Carbotechâ Kelated Metallic (CKM) achieves a very high coefficient of friction (approx. 0.48 to 0.50) by taking advantage of a chemical reaction within the friction mass, which creates a tri-alloy metallic film at the liner/drum interface when subjected to heat and pressure. Designed to overcome the shortcomings of other liner materials, CKM is a very versatile and provides excellent braking performance in a wide variety of applications. Excellent wear characteristics and a very high resistance to lock-up under hard braking. Optimal recommended operating temperature range is from ambient to 750 F. Schroth Right Side Net The Schroth right side driver's net offers the best in driver safety. Attaches to the roll cage of your race car. Made of polyester, these nets will last longer than ordinary nylon nets. Polyester is not as susceptible to UV degradation over time. We view right side nets (also called "cage nets") as a mandatory piece of safety equipment. In an impact, the body moves forward 6-8 inches. This is normal and quite necessary to prevent injury, with the harness stretching to help decelerate the body. If you're in a lateral impact (an impact that's not straight on), there are high lateral forces that will move you side-to-side. Without a right side net, it's very easy for the body to wrap around the side of the seat when the harnesses have stretched. A right side net prevents this by guiding your head and shoulders back into the seat keeping you from painful injury. Please note, this used to be an SFI-rated product, but is now FIA-rated. DETAILS: Schroth nets are tested with a dynamic load to more accurately represent the real world. Carefully read the section about installing the net in your race car. The FIA requires that two vertical sections are in contact with the seat back to provide support. Schroth has added additional vertical sections to the FIA net, differentiating it from SFI-rated nets. Also make note of the angles involved in the installation. The FIA recommends that a net be installed on either side of the seat for driver restraint. The FIA does not view the exterior net as adequate for restraining the driver; they want to see two interior nets whenever possible. The Tudor series currently enforces this and mandates two interior nets as well as a window net. The FIA requires that the net be mount with the horizontal sections of webbing on the inside by the driver, so the drivers helmet has a smooth surface to slide down during an impact. On Schroth nets, this can be accomplished on both sides just be flipping the net over. The FIA requires that the quick-release button be capable of being released under load, which is way Schroth developed their new style quick-release. The ratchet strap and metal clasp (seen on previous nets) have been removed from the net due to their inability to withstand an appropriate dynamic load. The new quick-release is lighter and safer than previous versions.
