Gen 6 Chevy Camaro Roll Bar - Enhanced Safety Feature
CMS Performance CMS Performance Roll Bar For Chevy Camaro (Gen 6) $2,495.00
CMS Performance Bolt-In Roll Bar For Gen 6 Chevy Camaro Fits the Following Cars: Gen 6 Chevy Camaro (2016+) all except convertible STRONGEST ROLL BAR AVAILABLE FOR GEN 6 CAMARO The CMS Performance Camaro Roll Bar is the strongest, safest, and most beautifully constructed roll bar on the market. In designing the Camaro roll bar, safety, strength, and structural integrity were our primary goals. Fully TIG welded from Docol R8 Advanced High-Strength Steel allows us to design a roll bar that is stronger and lighter! Our innovative design maximizes the room for the factory Recaro seats, meaning taller drivers can send their seat all the way back and still maintain a comfortable recline. Precision CNC machined solid steel interlocking roll bar clamps on the kicker mounting plates help make installation a snap. Free custom powder-coating gives you a premium, finished look without breaking the budget. Add the optional custom-cut Rear Seat Delete Kit and you've got a fully trimmed-out roll bar installation that performs as great as it looks. Our Camaro roll bar forms the perfect foundation for taking your safety up a huge notch. Click Here for Installation Instructions SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY Safety is the main reason to install a roll bar in the first place. As racers ourselves, we sweat the details. That's why we use 1.75" x .095" Docol R8. Docol is 15% stronger than 4130 CrMo, and much less brittle. Docol R8 also dissipates impact energy more effectively. It's the same tubing used in full-competition road racing roll cages because, first and foremost, it's a roll bar not a trim piece. Our beefy main hoop straddles the rear seat cross member, a much stronger location than the rear footwell, eliminating the need for underbody backing plates. Taking a cue from NHRA cage design, the diagonal supports feature a concave design to allow full front-seat travel while distributing roll-over energy between the main hoop and kickers. The harness cross-bar is precisely located to put your shoulder straps at both the proper angle (0 to -20 ) and distance to the driver. Finally our rear kickers bolt to a reinforced corner of the rear seat floor, again requiring no backing plates beneath the floor pan. A clear rear view is a safety concern. Our use of stronger materials and innovative design lets us keep your rear view unobstructed by additional bracing. This also helps weight down. Every detail of the CMS Gen 6 Camaro roll bar is engineered with safety as our primary goal. HAND CRAFTED IN AMERICA Okay, another reason people install a roll bar is that they look cool. We're car guys, we get that. Each roll bar is handcrafted right here in America by master fabricators for a perfect fit, beautifully 360o TIG welded for high strength, and fully powder-coated in our facility for a brilliant, durable finish. There's no extra charge for custom colors. CMS operates a complete powder-coating facility to offer you color-matched Camaro factory colors1, giving your Camaro a personalized look that will last. None of your interior trim panels need to be eliminated or cut. Your rear seat back can be re-installed, or you can opt for our custom Shrader rear seat delete, the perfect place to put a track bag, helmet and HANS, driver cooling system, etc. (you can hide stuff under there, too). If you ever want to put your car back to stock, it will go back together as though the roll bar was never there. Complete, detailed instructions make installation pretty simple (figure about two hours if you're reasonably handy), and all Grade 8 hardware needed is shipped with your CMS roll bar. Add Racing Harnesses and a Head-And-Neck Restraint and and you're ready to hit the track safe and secure. An effective helmet is one that fits properly. To get the most accurate measurement please have an assistant use a fabric measuring tape or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head starting at a point approximately one inch above your eyebrows in front, around a point in the back of your head that results in the largest possible measurement, and finally wrapping back to the front.  It is a good idea to take several measurements to make sure you have the largest one. This helmet will require your signature for delivery.    STILO ST5 FN ABP 8860-2018 CARBON FIBER HELMET FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ): Remember that safety is paramount in auto racing, and choosing the right helmet and maintaining it properly is essential for your protection on the track. Always consult with the professionals at Discovery Parts and refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for specific questions about your racing helmet. Why do I need a racing helmet? Auto racing helmets are designed to protect drivers from head injuries and fire during high-speed races and crashes. They are a crucial safety component in motorsports. How do I choose the right size helmet? You should measure your head's circumference using a flexible tape measure, then refer to the manufacturer's sizing chart to select the appropriate size helmet. Please review our blog posting on how to properly fit your new auto racing helmet from Discovery Parts. What safety standards should I look for in a racing helmet? Look for helmets that meet safety standards like Snell and FIA depending on your racing discipline. These standards ensure the helmet's safety and quality. DOT helmets are designed for street use and not for racing and track use. What's the difference between full-face and open-face, and helmets? Full-face helmets provide the most protection with a complete face shield, while open-face helmets cover the top and sides of the head. Can I use a motorcycle helmet for auto racing? No, motorcycle helmets do not provide the same level of protection as auto racing helmets, as they are designed for different purposes. It's recommended to use a helmet specifically designed for auto racing which includes fire protection in addition to impact protection. How often should I replace my auto racing helmet? Auto racing helmets should be replaced every 5-10 years, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations and usage. If the helmet is involved in a crash, it should be replaced immediately. Are expensive racing helmets safer than budget ones? Safety standards dictate the minimum safety requirements, so even budget-friendly helmets can offer protection. However it’s important to consider how lower-priced helmets are meeting the required testing standards. More expensive helmets are lighter, smaller, are constructed of superior materials, and often come with additional features then less expensive helmets. How do I maintain and clean my racing helmet? Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintenance. You should clean the exterior, interior and shield with the Molecule Helmet Care Kit. Do I need to wear a balaclava under my racing helmet? Balaclavas are typically not required for Driver's Education events, however they make wearing a helmet much, much more comfortable. Balaclavas will provide fire protection (if fire rated), help keep your helmet lining clean and order free by absorbing the majority of sweat while using it, and additionally balaclavas make putting your helmet on and taking it off by protecting your ears and keeping from from folding over when you helmet is worn. Discovery Parts recommends balaclavas from Alpinestars, OMP, Sabelt, Sparco, and Stand21. If you are entering sanctioned auto racing events, balaclavas will be required for fire protection. Is the SNELL SA Rating important? The Snell SA2020 certification is a safety standard established by the Snell Memorial Foundation for auto racing helmets. It sets the criteria and requirements that helmets must meet to be considered safe and suitable for use in motorsport events. Snell SA2020 certification is highly regarded in the motorsports industry and is often required or recommended by racing organizations and events. It signifies that a helmet has passed rigorous testing to provide maximum safety for drivers in various motorsport disciplines, including road racing, NASCAR, Formula 1, drag racing, and more. It's essential for drivers to check the specific safety standards required by the racing organizations they participate in to ensure compliance. Is the FIA helmet certification important? Yes, FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) certification is crucial for auto racing helmets, especially in the context of international motorsport events and many national and regional racing series in the USA. The FIA 8859-2015 standard is commonly associated with racing helmets used in various motorsport disciplines. Helmets certified to FIA 8859-2015 met the safety requirements set by the FIA and were widely accepted in many racing series Which helmet certification is the most stringent and the hardest to meet? The FIA 8860-2018 certification is considered the most stringent and advanced helmet certifications available for auto racing helmets, and it is often associated with top-tier motorsport categories like Formula 1. It's important to note that the FIA 8860-2018 helmets offer a high level of protection and their use is mandatory in many racing series. Drivers should always check the regulations of the racing series they intend to participate in to ensure compliance with helmet certification standards. Can I wear glasses with my helmet? Most helmets have provisions for wearing glasses or goggles, but check the design to be sure. Most manufacturers feature helmet models with wider eye ports to better accommodate eye glasses. Are carbon fiber helmets better? Carbon fiber helmets are lightweight and strong, a top choice for racers. But remember, certification matters most. Can I use a used helmet for racing? It's best to buy a new helmet. Used helmets may have unseen damage or be out of date on safety standards. Can I buy replacement parts for my helmet, like visors or padding? Many manufacturers offer replacement parts, including visors and padding, to extend your helmet's lifespan. How can I prevent helmet fogging during races? Anti-fog sprays and inserts are available to help keep your visor clear during races. What's the importance of proper helmet ventilation? Proper ventilation helps keep you cool and comfortable during races, reducing the risk of heat exhaustion. How do I store my helmet between races? Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and chemicals in a bag designed to store your auto racing helmet, like the Discovery Parts Evo Helmet Bag. Where can I buy a certified racing helmet? You should only buy from a professional authorized dealer who has sold thousands of helmets. You can find all the best brands at Discovery Parts online at www.discoveryparts.com or visit our retail store at Atlanta Motorsports park or at one of the hundreds of race and track day events we attend and support. Yes, the 4C version supports both ear cups and ear buds depending on your personal or team setup. Uses IMSA connections. What is ZeroNoise® and why does it matter? ZeroNoise® is Bell's advanced audio platform, engineered for crystal-clear in-car communication with minimal distortion and maximum driver focus. Can I use this helmet for endurance racing? Absolutely. With comms, hydration, and a lightweight carbon-glass shell, it's made for long hours in the car at high intensity.
