CMS RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid
from $24.95
CMS RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid
HIGH BOILING POINT WITHOUT THE HIGH PRICE
RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.)
On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot.
So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days.
The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid.

A WORD ABOUT FLUSHING RACING BRAKE FLUID
All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point.
To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!

Ferodo DS3.12 Brake Compound Details:
The Ferodo DS3.12 is a track only compound with the flattest torque curve across the largest temperature range with very high torque. The Ferodo DS3.12 is identified with production code "G" and is the latest evolution in the Ferodo's DS track-only brake pad line. Designed for Hyper, Super and modern sports cars that have increased horsepower, more aero, higher curb weight, and stickier tires. These attributes all place greater demands on the vehicle’s ABS system.
The Ferodo DS3.12 is the modern pad compound designed from the start to explicitly handle those demands. Out of all the pad compounds we have ever tested, even from manufacturers, the DS3.12 shows the flattest torque curve across the broadest temperature range. That means that on every turn, on every track you drive, on every lap, your brake pedal is going to feel almost exactly the same, providing tremendous consistency and repeatability.
The DS3.12 has a higher mu than all of Ferodo’s other compounds, so not as much leg pressure is required to initiate the desired response. It is also unfadable, showing no drop in performance at any temp your brakes will ever see. In dyno testing, the DS3.12 has shown superior wear rates to the other Ferodo compounds, while remaining kind to the discs. We believe the DS3.12 will become the gold standard to which other race compounds will be compared.

Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader GDPS01
This indispensable tool is used by race teams, shops, and enthusiasts alike who have high performance four- and six-piston calipers. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is designed to easily spread brake pads and pistons to facilitate quick replacement of pads and/or rotors in a shop or racing environment.
No more screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, or C-clamps! This tool will retract the pistons fully and evenly into their bores with one squeeze of the levers.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader was designed to be used with popular racing brake calipers from Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, and other performance calipers in racing and road use. To help it fit into any caliper, the amount of throw is adjustable.
Insert the spreading plates one way for wider six-piston calipers, then turn the spreader 90o and use the plate sides for four-piston calipers.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is made from heavy-gauge steel, powder-coated for durability. The slider is cadmium-plated, and nylon pivot bushings ensure smooth action.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader will quickly become an invaluable tool for any race team, shop, or enthusiast who changes pads and rotors frequently.

PAGID 8081 BRAKE PAD FAQs – Get answers from the Experts
Q: Is Pagid better than Textar?A: Both Pagid and Textar are reputable brake pad manufacturers, but Pagid is often preferred for high-performance and motorsport applications due to its superior friction materials, heat resistance, and longevity. Textar, on the other hand, is known for OEM and standard road applications.
Q: Who makes Pagid brake pads?A: Pagid brake pads are manufactured by TMD Friction, one of the world's leading suppliers of braking technology, known for producing high-quality brake pads for motorsport, OEM, and aftermarket applications.
Q: How long do Pagid brake pads last?A: The lifespan of Pagid brake pads depends on driving style, vehicle type, and usage conditions. For regular street use, they typically last 30,000 to 50,000 miles, but aggressive driving or frequent track days can significantly shorten their lifespan.
Q: How long do racing brake pads last?A: Racing brake pads have a much shorter lifespan due to intense heat and friction conditions. Depending on the compound and usage, they can last anywhere from a single race event to several track days, with endurance compounds like RSL29 and RSL1 designed to last longer under extreme conditions.
Q: Can I use Pagid Brake pads for daily driving?A: Yes! While RS14 pads are optimized for track use, they can also be used on the street. However, expect increased brake dust and some noise compared to standard street pads.
Q: Do Pagid pads require a specific break-in process?A: Absolutely. Proper bedding-in ensures optimal performance and longevity. Follow Pagid’s heat cycling procedure to maximize braking efficiency.
Q: What’s the difference between RS14, RSL29, and RSL1 pads?A: RS14 is designed for track days and aggressive driving, RSL29 is optimized for endurance racing, and RSL1 offers even greater longevity and heat resistance for extreme endurance racing.
Q: Do Pagid brake pads work well in wet conditions?A: Yes! Pagid’s high-performance compounds maintain strong grip and consistency even in wet conditions, making them a reliable choice for unpredictable track days.
Q: How often should I replace my Pagid brake pads?A: Pad longevity depends on driving style and conditions. Frequent track use may require replacement after a few events, while street use allows for longer durability.
