If you have shipped us an HNR device for recertification, we will contact you to discuss what level of service your device requires. (The most common is Level 2, an SFI label and a tether.) If you have not yet shipped us your HNR device, see the instructions below for doing so. HANS DEVICE RECERTIFICATION Discovery Parts is certified by Simpson Racing to inspect, repair, and recertify all HANS devices that have an SFI 38.1 tag (silver metal foil decal). All HANS SFI 38.1 devices must be recertified every five years. Discovery Parts recertifies HNR devices at our store inside Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) as well as trackside at track many events and races. You can ship your HNR device to us for recertification by printing this form, filling it out, and sending it to us along with your device. If you are coming directly to our AMP store location with your HNR device, please call beforehand to confirm that one of our certified inspection technicians will be at the AMP store when you arrive. EXAMPLE OF NEEDING RECERTIFICATION If, for example, your device was last certified in April 2020, you need to have it recertified no later than May 1, 2025. When designing this line, Sparco studied the driver's sitting position to ensure ultimate fit and comfort. Shield RW-9 uses a seamless construction with ultra-soft stretchable material. There are two different woven materials in key areas; thin stretch Nomex for comfort and mobility as well as a double perforated Nomex for increased breathability and ultimate comfort. The minimal seams are stitched flat with thin specialized thread for added comfort. All Shield RW-9 pieces are treated with Sparco X-Cool Silver which draws heat from the body surface to cool the driver. In addition to cooling the driver, X-Cool Silver treatment has an anti-bacterial effect. The Shield RW-9 collection has pieces to fit every driver's style, including short-sleeved nomex t-shirts, long-sleeved nomex shirts, nomex pants, nomex balaclava, and nomex socks.
