RSL 29: The PAGID RS29 (Yellow) is the world-leading endurance brake pad used by most of the winning teams in motorsport.  The racing compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Based on the RS14, A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Nevertheless, the friction value is enough for cars without power-assisted brake system and ensures comfortable low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1,100°F) are possible. This combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) is unmatched. Due to its excellent release characteristics and controllability PAGID endurance materials are also often used for sprint races. Pagid RS29 with a very similar friction coefficient to RS19 with improvements in initial bite offering quicker response and slightly more temperature stable at the upper levels of the temperature range. Developments in raw material selection and compounding have resulted in improvements also in pedal feel and feedback, helping with modulation particularly on lighter applications. This material provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels, only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. Another favourite with endurance racers having won many classes at all major endurance events, such as Le-Mans, Daytona, Spa, Nurburgring, etc. Due to the exceptional pad life and very low wear on brake discs it has been possible to run 24 hours without a change of pads or discs. Able to withstand slightly higher disc temperatures than RS19, this has proved more suitable for applications running very high disc temperatures. Although designed primarily for endurance racing, because of the consistent levels of performance and user friendliness many competitors use this material successfully for sprint and short distance races also. RS29 has also found favour in the growing track day market due to the level of control, good cold performance, long life and low disc wear.   RS 14: The PAGID RS14 (Black) is a high friction value ceramic compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a constant temperature of 650 degrees Celsius (1202 degrees Fahrenheit). It is kind on discs, (with visible grooving, but no tendency to crack discs). RS14 is our most popular ceramic based friction material. Compared to RS4-2 this compound offers a good increase in initial bite and average torque, it has very good modulation characteristics and offers good control against wheel lock at all temperatures. While showing a reduction in pad wear, particularly at high temperatures it is still very easy in terms of disc wear and shows a reduction in surface stress fractures. RS14 will also tolerate much higher working disc temperatures than RS4-2 extending further the fade resistance. RS14 is also used as an OEM material and supplied as an up-graded track day pad by Lotus Motorsport department. It has been shown to exhibit the most suitable level of braking force, control and modulation on popular track day cars such as Lotus Elise and Caterham. Offering consistent levels of performance and a much longer life than competitors products, without excessive disc wear while offering the driver supreme confidence. Outside the track day environment RS14 has also shown success in short to medium distance circuit racing as well as gravel and tarmac rallying. RS14 offer very low heat conductivity which allows less thermal transfer from disc through pad, thus resulting in lower caliper and brake fluid temperatures which can have a critical effect on ultimate brake performance.

Carbotech 1521 operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800F (426C+). 1521 is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotech 1521 is NOT recommended for ANY track use. Carbotech AX6 The AX6 is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50F to 1000F + (10C to 537C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Many drivers use the AX6 for street driving as well, even though Carbotech doesn't recommend street driving with AX6 due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. AX6 is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications. Carbotech XP8 A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200F-1250F+ (93C to 676C+). Carbotech XP8 is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotech does NOT recommended XP8 as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech XP8 is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers. Carbotech XP10 When Carbotech unleashed the XP10 to the general public it immediately gathered multiple regional, divisional, and national championships. The XP10 has a very strong initial bite with a coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1475F (801C). XP10 still maintains the highly praised release, excellent modulation and rotor friendliness that have made all Carbotech compounds so successful. Carbotech XP10 is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech XP12 Another highly successful XP series compound with an excellent initial bite, torque and fade resistance over and above the XP10 compound. XP12 has temperature range of 250F to 1850F+ (121C to 1010C+). The XP12 has that excellent Carbotech release and modulation that has made all other Carbotech compounds so successful. The XP12 is more rotor aggressive than XP10, but compared to the competition the XP12 is still very rotor friendly. XP12 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech XP20 The latest iteration of the highly successful XP series of compounds. XP20 is a step up from the highly successful XP16 compound. With an extremely aggressive initial bite, linear torque curve and excellent fade resistance the XP20 is another major step in progression of the highly successful XP series line of compounds from Carbotech. XP20 has a temperature range of 275F to 2000F+ (135C to 1093C+). Carbotech XP20 maintains our tradition of having the outstanding release and modulation that has made all other Carbotech compounds so successful. Carbotech XP20 is NOT recommended for use as a daily driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech XP24 XP24 is the pinnacle compound of the extremely successful XP Series of compounds engineered by Carbotech. This compound is based on the same fundamentals that exist in all other Carbotech formulations. Ferodo FCP1281H  Ferodo Brake Compound Details: DS3.12Released in 2019, the DS3.12 represents the latest advancement in Ferodo's renowned DS line. In the realm of sports cars, the demands placed on brake systems have intensified, with increased horsepower, sophisticated aerodynamics, higher curb weights, and stickier tires. Addressing these demands head-on, the Ferodo DS3.12 is a modern pad compound meticulously designed to cater explicitly to these challenges. Extensive testing has revealed that, among all pad compounds from various manufacturers, the DS3.12 exhibits the most consistent torque curve across a wide temperature range. Consequently, whether you're tackling turns, driving on any track or completing lap after lap, the brake pedal response remains remarkably consistent, offering exceptional reliability and repeatability. With a higher mu (friction coefficient) compared to Ferodo's other compounds, the DS3.12 requires less leg pressure to initiate the desired braking performance. Furthermore, it exhibits superior fade resistance, ensuring optimal performance at any temperature your brakes may encounter. Dyno testing has demonstrated that the DS3.12 maintains superior wear rates while being gentle on the discs. As a result, we anticipate the DS3.12 will establish itself as the benchmark against which other race compounds are measured.DS1.11The DS1.11, in contrast to the DS3.12, possesses a lower mu at all temperatures, making it a moderate mu pad in the realm of endurance racing compounds. It necessitates greater pedal force compared to the DS3.12 and exhibits a slight decline in torque as temperatures rise. Consequently, as you push deeper into a turn with increasing heat, you may find yourself applying more pressure on the brake pedal to achieve the same response—a sensation preferred by some drivers. Certain drivers find the DS1.11 to be more manageable when using street tires, particularly as it is less prone to activating the ABS system. While the DS1.11 offers a longer lifespan compared to many other pad compounds on the market, it falls slightly short of the longevity of the DS3.12. When maintained with a proper pad transfer layer, it remains gentle on discs even at elevated track temperatures. While the DS1.11 boasts excellent maximum temperature tolerance and fade resistance, it does not quite reach the same levels as the DS3.12. To date, we have not received reports of fading issues with the DS1.11, and most individuals differentiate between the DS1.11 and DS3.12 based on their respective tactile experiences.DS2500While we always recommend using dedicated race pads for track use, the DS2500 stands out as one of the premier hybrid street/track pads available. It combines the advantages of a track pad, such as a moderately high bite and solid fade resistance, with the comparatively lower levels of dust and noise typically associated with street pads. As a street pad, it may produce some squealing noise in specific vehicle applications, particularly when driven aggressively. For individuals who engage in spirited street driving, canyon runs, autocross, and occasional light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is hard to surpass. DS3000 The predecessor to DS1.11, DS3000 offers high initial bite with excellent feel and release. Popular among rally teams, DS3000 has a relatively low cold temperature threshold while still offering high temp stability for tarmac. DS3000 is very easy on discs at the expense of pad wear. However, when employed on the track by cars weighing over 3,000 lbs., featuring high horsepower and R Compound tires, the DS2500 tends to exhibit significantly higher wear rates compared to Ferodo Racing's other compounds. If extended wear rates are a priority under these conditions, Essex recommends considering the Ferodo DS1.11 or DS3.12 as alternatives. To measure your head, have an assistant use a dressmaker's tape or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head. Start at a point about an inch above your eyebrows, looping around the back of your head at the point that results in the largest measurement, and finally around to the front again.
