Instead of going from 2" from the adjuster up and 3" from the adjuster down, the Enduro 2x2 has a full length 2" wide shoulder belt. At first, being a racer who does not like change, I wanted my same 3/2" shoulder belt. Upon sitting in a race seat and mounting the harness, Schroth actually improved on something I though did not need improvement. They are easy to lay up on my HANS device, are a little lighter, and the new small adjusters are nice. Actually, really nice. I like the new lightweight adjusters better than my Profi II. This is a nice upgrade I did not know needed upgrading. The shoulder belt camlock ends are still keyed (angled) for individual left and right to keep driver comfort at a maximum, no matter how large or small the driver is. We love this feature on all Schroth belts. Featuring a precise sewn-in waist belt to chassis fitting, the Schroth Porsche waist belt fits perfect. Everything is in the perfect position and legal for all competition you may see, even the 24 Hours of LeMans. We sew the Schroth B43A end on both of the waist belts so installation is like your super car came out of Stuttgart. Schroth Porsche GT3 Enduro 2x2 Harness Waist Belts 2" vs 3". All Schroth Enduro Belts are 2" (50mm) wide and are more effective that the 3" (75mm) waist belt. Why is 2" webbing more effective than 3" webbing? Let's start looking at the shape of our human body. The Iliac Crest (IC) is the part of the pelvic bone that sticks out above the hips. 2" webbing fits entirely within the recession created by the Iliac Crest where 3" webbing rides over the top of the Iliac Crest. Because of this, the 3" webbing has less contact area by percentage than the 2" webbing which will cause more bruising during an impact where the belt is making contact with the pelvic bone. Since the 2" webbing rides inside the Iliac Crest, it can be worn as much as 1" to 1.5" tighter and at the same time is more comfortable for the driver. Since the 2" webbing fits well within the Iliac Crest of the pelvis, it is less likely to slide up above the crest and cause submarining, a condition where the body slides down below the lap belt possibly causing internal organ damage.Research shows that the faster the pelvis is captured, the lower the resultant loads on the chest, head, and neck. There is no difference in the strength of the 2" webbing vs the 3" webbing. All webbing - 2" or 3" - must meet the same FIA homolgation test loads.There is an additional benefit of the 2" lap belts. Schroth Porsche GT3 Enduro 2x2 Harness Camlock: different or the same? The buckle looks like our old reliable Schroth Profi cam lock in non-glare matte black, and looks and feels the same externally. The only upgrade is a different amount of force required to turn the buckle. It is solidly positioned and has a very sharp snap when releasing. Nothing too drastic, if you start turning the camlock (in either direction) it just is tight, tight, tight, and boom - released. Actually there is no boom, it just releases cleanly. The Safe, Street Legal 4 Point Harness The Profi II ASM FE is essentially the same as the Profi II ASM, except it features a Push-Button cam lock. The red push button that says "Press" is necessary to retain street legality and so an EMT who shows up at an accident scene will know how to release your restraint. The FE version also features sewn in, bendable bolt-in tabs for the lap belt attachments, for use in applications where space is limited. It's designed to be used as a four point system, perfect for use in Driver Education cars or any other application where stock seats are retained. (A seat that was not originally designed for a sub strap should never be modified to accept one.) The Profi II ASM incorporates Schroth's legendary ASM (Anti Sub Marining) technology that is the only thing like it on the market. ASM is an extra fold of material sewn into the right shoulder belt that elongates at a different rate than the outboard belt. This allows your upper torso to twist slightly. On the rebound phase, your torso is planted firmly back in the seat rather than allowed to slide under the lap belt. You can add a single or dual sub strap to make this belt into a 5 point or 6 point at any time. Schroth tested this harness with a HANS device and the results were great. You can use a 4 point ASM Harness with any HANS device. The Formula 2x2: Your Go-To Belt for Formula Type Cars The Formula 2x2 features Frontal Head Restraint (FHR) specific 2” shoulder belts, 2" non-adjustable Formula lap belts, and individual non-adjustable sub straps. Individual Sub Straps Make the Formula 2x2 Different The sub straps loop through the lap belts and latch into the shoulder belts. The classic “D” ring used in previous Formula belts has been replaced with sewn-in webbing, creating a more lightweight and comfortable fit. The ideal harness for stock seats, or seats not designed for a pass-through for a sub strap, that are used in Driver Education programs. Schroth ASM is an extra fold of material sewn into the inboard shoulder belt, elongating at a separate rate compared to the outboard belt. This allows two movements: the upper torso can twist slightly, and on the rebound phase, the torso is planted firmly back in the seat instead of sliding under the lap belt. Schroth Profi II ASM 4 Point Harness (Anti-Sub) 2028 Expiry The Schroth Profi II ASM 4 Point Harness (Anti-Sub) integrates Schroth’s unique ASM (Anti-SubMarining) technology in a four-point system. The ideal harness for stock seats, or seats not designed for a pass-through for a sub strap, that are used in Driver Education programs. Schroth’s ASM is an extra fold of material sewn into the inboard shoulder belt, elongating at a separate rate compared to the outboard belt. This allows two movements: the upper torso can twist slightly, and on the rebound phase, the torso is planted firmly back in the seat instead of sliding under the lap belt. The Schroth Profi II ASM 4 Point Harness is good for use with a HANS device or other Head and Neck Restraint (HNR). The ASM shoulder strap on the ASM is 3” width, which will work with any HNR. A dual or single strap can be added to convert this belt into a 5- or 6- point system. The shoulders are ready to wrap around a roll bar, and snap-in or bolt-in attachments can be purchased. Schroth Clubman 2x2 6 Point Racing Harness Schroth's Clubman has one aim: to provide a superior harness for people needing a lower-cost belt. The Clubman features Frontal Head Restraint (FHR) specific 2” shoulder belts, 2" Clubman pull up lap belts, and a T-bar non adjustable sub strap. Shoulders and sub strap hardware is wrapped in. The FHR specific shoulder belts are designed to make FHR use safer and more comfortable. The full 2" shoulder webbing fits perfecting on a FHR device, creating optimal force distribution on the surface of the device. ADJUSTERS AND OPTIONS The adjusters on the Clubman belt are heavier and not as easy to use. They are, however, cheaper and bring down the overall cost of the harness. In addition the sub strap does not have adjusters and the lap hardware is not interchangeable. Only available with snap-in, pull-up lap belts. Laps are not reversible like they are on the Flexi 2x2. Schroth Quick-Fit 4-Point Harness The Quick Fit Harness from Schroth is an excellent harness solution for people who have dual-duty cars (track and street). Not many of us have the means to support a full-time race vehicle as well as a street car, and still more of us like driving track-prepared cars on the street. The safest restraint solution is, of course, a 6- or 7-point competition harness, a fixed-back carbon fiber racing seat, a multi-point welded roll cage, and a HANS device. But none of us is going to do that (nor do we recommend it) in our street car. WHAT'S THE NEXT BEST THING? The Schroth Quick Fit Harness is the next best thing. It anchors to factory points, which are load tested to withstand a 3,000-pound force for six seconds. It has ASM (anti-submarine) technology that keeps the lap belt low and your rear end firmly planted in the seat. You don't want the lap belt riding up and squeezing your insides. There are no quick disconnects between the front and rear sections, just four straps that each bolt to the car (the shoulder belts can also be wrapped around your roll bar). The Schroth Rallye Cross ASM is a four-point harness with Schroth's patented ASM technology, which makes it as safe as a four-point belt can be. What differentiates it from the Schroth Rallye 4 is the shoulder straps. DIRECT MOUNTED SHOULDER STRAPS ADD SAFETY Where the Rallye 4 has a quick-disconnect buckle between the front section of the harness and the tail straps, the Schroth Rallye Cross ASM has two independent shoulder straps that go directly to the mounting point. These shoulder straps can be mounted either by wrapping them around a roll bar/harness bar or by bolting them to the bar or the chassis. Schroth Rallye 4 ASM Harness The Schroth Rallye 4 is the de-facto standard for anyone looking for a simple, safe, DOT-approved 4 point harness. The technology built into this harness puts it in a category above belts made by other manufacturers. Schroth's years of testing and motorsport experience are brought to bear in making this 4-point harness as safe as it can be. SCHROTH TECHNOLOGY STANDS ABOVE THE REST There are two main reasons why the Schroth harnesses are the only safe 4-point harnesses: first, ASM technology; second, the ability to install the harness using stock mounting locations. ASM stands for "Anti-Submarining". It's an extra flap of technical material sewn into the inboard shoulder belt that prevents you from sliding underneath the lap belt in a crash. In a typical 4-point harness, the two shoulder straps restrain your upper body equally, keeping your chest from moving forward but also pulling up on the lap belts. This allows your pelvis to slide under the lap belt, which can cause serious damage. With ASM, the shoulder belts will elongate at different rates, allowing your torso to turn slightly which forces your pelvis down into the seat cushion. Upon rebound, you will be placed back in an upright position with the belt correctly placed over your body. STOCK MOUNTING POINTS ARE THE STRONGEST Being able to mount a Schroth Rallye 4 ASM harness to stock mounting locations means you're using the points engineered by the car maker to withstand extremely high forces for a specified length of time. That means the mounting bolts won't pull out of the sheet metal. It also means (in the case of a Schroth harness) that you can retain the use of your stock 3-point harness, allowing you the use of the backseat of your car. If you have the need to transport passengers (or cargo) in your backseat, it is possible to disconnect the tailstrap (a feature only Schroth has) and use your normal 3 point belts.
