This is the "straw" that picks up your AFFF agent inside the bottle when discharged and will always find the lowest-gravity position in case your vehicle is other than right-side-up on track.

The SPA Dip Tube Assembly LWE50, part number 02-SP-046 is not a user-serviceable part as it is inside the sealed fire bottle. It is changed during a fire bottle service if shows any degradation or if the service time has been exceeded. The reason for this is AFFF hardens with age and gets lodged between the seal and mating surface. This will not allow proper sealing at 8 or 16 BAR.
