RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.)
On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot.
So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days.
The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid.

A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid
All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point.
To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!

The hat is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish. Drive pins, made from a high-strength steel alloy, are cadmium-plated for superior corrosion resistance. Each rotor assembly incorporates spring clips and Belleville washers, ensuring race-ready float while remaining street-friendly without noise from loose hardware.
Our E46 M3 rotors are compatible with common aftermarket caliper setups, including Brembo calipers from both Porsche 996 and Megane RS swaps, in addition to the stock sliding calipers available on ZCP and CSL models.

RACING PAD NOTES:
Running a "racing use only" pad on the street could produce excessive noise and dust.
Rotor wear could be accelerated if driven at consistently cold temperatures or used in the incorrect temperature range.
Racing pads are designed to work in specific temperature ranges so it's important to choose the right compound for the environment the vehicle will be used in.
Pad compounds are tested on a brake dynamometer over repeated brake applications to test the materials in a controlled environment. Real-world wear rates and temperatures will be influenced by car setup, grip levels, track layout and other variables.

The disc itself is made from our proprietary cast iron, poured and machined entirely in-house at Girodisc. Utilizing a curved vane design derived from racing technology, the rotor acts as a centrifugal pump, efficiently channeling cooling air through the disc.Our rotor and hat employ a floating mount system, featuring 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to our precise specifications. These pins are cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance and bear the load during braking while allowing axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers, the pins ensure stability. To prevent noise when cold, anti-noise spring washers are installed on the rotor side, allowing the rotor to expand with heat while eliminating rattling and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also facilitates self-centering of the rotor between the pads.Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when necessary.Sold and priced as a pair.

Pagid Racing RSL 29 (Yellow)
The Pagid RSL 29 (Yellow) is the world-leading endurance brake pad used by most of the winning teams in motorsports. This racing compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS 19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Based on the more aggressive Pagid RS 14 (Black), a slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (control) of RSL 29.
Nevertheless, RSL 29's friction value is high enough for cars without power-assisted brake system and ensures comfortable low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 600° C (1100° F) are possible. This combination of friction value, fade stability and low wear on pads and rotors is unmatched.
Pagid RSL 29 provides very high levels of performance and response at all temperatures; not much heat is needed to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. It's a favorite with endurance racers, having won many classes at major endurance events at Le Mans, Daytona, Spa, Nurburgring, etc. Exceptional pad life and very low rotor wear have made it possible to run 24 hours without a change of pads or rotors!
Although designed primarily for endurance racing, RSL 29's consistent levels of performance and user friendliness make it popular for sprint- and short distance races as well.
