The Ferodo DS3.12 is a track only compound with the flattest torque curve across the largest temperature range with very high torque. The Ferodo DS3.12 is identified with production code "G" and is the latest evolution in the Ferodo's DS track-only brake pad line. Designed for Hyper, Super and modern sports cars that have increased horsepower, more aero, higher curb weight, and stickier tires.These attributes all place greater demands on the vehicle’s ABS system.
The Ferodo DS3.12 is the modern pad compound designed from the start to explicitly handle those demands. Out of all the pad compounds we have ever tested, even from manufacturers, the DS3.12 shows the flattest torque curve across the broadest temperature range. That means that on every turn, on every track you drive, on every lap, your brake pedal is going to feel almost exactly the same, providing tremendous consistency and repeatability.
The DS3.12 has a higher mu than all of Ferodo’s other compounds, so not as much leg pressure is required to initiate the desired response. It is also unfadable, showing no drop in performance at any temp your brakes will ever see. In dyno testing, the DS3.12 has shown superior wear rates to the other Ferodo compounds, while remaining kind to the discs. The QRT-R is the first seat to feature Sparco’s patented QRT ultra-light technology. This QRT Technology gives an unparalleled mechanical strength/weight ratio for fiberglass composite racing seats. QRT Technology gives weight savings of 7 lbs to 10 lbs per shell. The main benefit is that QRT-R seat approaches the weight of a carbon fiber seat at a price of a fiberglass seat.
The QRT-R is the lightest "Medium/Large" size fiberglass seat, the shell alone weighs only 9.9 lbs (or 15 lbs fully trimmed). The Sparco GRID Q was designed to provide the ultimate lateral support, racing ergonomics and safety. This unique design incorporates individual padding that is attached by Velcro. This padding design allows for ventilation channels. The Sparco GRID Q features a brand new shell design that has deep side bolsters and very supportive shoulder bolsters for excellent lateral hold.
In addition to the unique padding and shell design, the Sparco Grid Q is now made with Sparco QRT Technology which results in an ultra-light shell. The side cushion can be removed to give more room for a larger fit. The Sparco Grid Q features harness slots that can accommodate a large range of drivers. The Sparco Grid Q is FIA approved.
This lightweight shell is wrapped with impact-absorbing foam and covered with fire retardant, self-extinguishing fabric. As Sparco's most well known competition seat, it was a no-brainer to provide the refreshed Evo with Sparco's QRT Ultra-Light Technology. Not content to leave well enough alone, Sparco went a step further by improving the overall fit and feel of the Sparco Evo QRT. Starting with the shoulder bolsters, Sparco trimmed down the width to help fitment into smaller cars without sacrificing support. Sparco then lowered the side bolsters just enough to improve ingress/egress into/out of the car. Finally, the shoulder belt guides have been raised for improved harness fit in all drivers. With small sports cars in mind (the Sparco Evo QRT fits perfectly in a Miata!), the Sparco Evo QRT is sure be a mainstay at the track!
