Girodisc A1-174 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors (Acura NSX) $1,700.00
Discovery Parts is an Authorized dealer for GiroDisc products and we are one of the largest stocking dealers in the country. We ship most products same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. Fits Acura NSX with OEM CCM Rotors (Conversion to Iron) The GiroDisc system is a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc. The 2-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. The Giro Disc rotors are lighter than OEM pieces. The reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Discovery Parts RF-1 brake fluid (also available from CompetitionMotorsport.com), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling. Sold/Priced per pair.

The low rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and transient suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC racing brake pads and Discovery Parts RF1 Racing brake fluid, you have an amazing, durable solution to cracked or broken carbon-ceramic rotors at a fraction of the cost of the factory PCCBs. The hat of each rotor is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron using the same specs and materials as professional racing organizations. The curved-vane design acts as a centrifugal pump to force cool air through the disc. The disc and hat mount together using a floating mount system with high-strength alloy steel drive pins and Grade 12 cap screws. The drive pins transfer braking load while maintaining axial and radial float between the disc and hat to accomodate heat expansion. Hardened washers and anti-noise springs eliminate the rattle and noise sometimes associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement (using Girodisc D1-176); the aluminum hats are re-usable to save money. Sold/priced per pair.

A1-211 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors (ZL1 Gen 6)
Girodisc A1-211 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors (ZL1 Gen 6) $1,200.00
Discovery Parts is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products. As one of the largest stocking dealers in the country, we ship most Girodisc products the same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. Fits Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Gen 6 The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc, but a different brake pad with an annulus (pad swept area) of 66mm or less must be used. We strongly recommend the Pagid 8081. This is done to bring the weight of the disc down. The OEM rotor utilizes a pillar vane design which is horribly inefficient and, with no way of effectively dissipating heat, it heat soaks very easily. Chevrolet chose the easy solution and made the rotor extremely heavy to combat that heat. We weighed an OEM rotor at 32.5 lbs! Girodisc took the functional route instead, engineering a shorter-annulus ring for a total rotor weight of 28.0 lbs. This design utilizes 72 directional cooling vanes for an incredibly efficient and robust package. The necessary pad shape is very common and also found on other Camaro and Corvette applications equipped with 6 piston calipers. If there is a specific pad compound you're after please contact us directly to provide the correct part numbers. The central hat section of the Girodisc rotor is made from strictly USA-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc's own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the brake pads. Once the Girodisc system is in place, you simply replace the cast iron discs when needed. This reduces cost over time by allowing you to re-use the aluminum central hats. Sold/priced per pair
