Carbotechâ 1521â
The Carbotechâ 1521â is our high performance street compound. The 1521â compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. 1521â is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound's excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Carbotechâ 1521â operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800 F (426 C+). 1521â is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotechâ 1521â is NOT recommended for ANY track use.
Carbotechâ AX6â
The AX6â is specifically engineered for Autocross applications. A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range of 50 F to 1000 F + (10 C to 537 C+). The advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial bite, high coefficient of friction at lower temperatures along with very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Many drivers use the AX6â for street driving as well, even though Carbotechâ doesn't recommend street driving with AX6â due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise. AX6â is NOT recommended as a race compound in most applications.
Carbotechâ XP8â
A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200 F-1250 F+ (93 C to 676 C+). Carbotechâ XP8â is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotechâ does NOT recommended XP8â as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotechâ XP8â is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers.

The XP10â has a very strong initial bite with a coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1475 F (801 C). Carbotechâ XP10â is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

The XP12â is more rotor aggressive than XP10â , but compared to the competition the XP12â is still very rotor friendly. XP20â has a temperature range of 275 F to 2000 F+ (135 C to 1093 C+). Carbotechâ XP20â maintains our tradition of having the outstanding release and modulation that has made all other Carbotechâ compounds so successful. Carbotechâ 913 Kelated Metallicâ
A D.O.T.-approved high-performance compound for brake shoes on high performance street vehicles and race cars. Carbotechâ Kelated Metallic (CKM) achieves a very high coefficient of friction (approx. 0.48 to 0.50) by taking advantage of a chemical reaction within the friction mass, which creates a tri-alloy metallic film at the liner/drum interface when subjected to heat and pressure. Designed to overcome the shortcomings of other liner materials, CKM is a very versatile and provides excellent braking performance in a wide variety of applications. Excellent wear characteristics and a very high resistance to lock-up under hard braking. Optimal recommended operating temperature range is from ambient to 750 F.

The Quick Fit Harness from Schroth is an excellent harness solution for people who have dual-duty cars (track and street). Not many of us have the means to support a full-time race vehicle as well as a street car, and still more of us like driving track-prepared cars on the street.
The safest restraint solution is, of course, a 6- or 7-point competition harness, a fixed-back carbon fiber racing seat, a multi-point welded roll cage, and a HANS device. But none of us is going to do that (nor do we recommend it) in our street car.
WHAT'S THE NEXT BEST THING?

Lighter weight than previous versions of OMP's FIRST-S, the new design includes full-floating arms for greater freedom of movement, and modern "fishbone" quilting to match the driver's ergonomics in a seated position.

The Shield RW-9 line of Nomex underwear provides the highest level of breathability, comfort and protection. When designing this line, Sparco studied the driver's sitting position to ensure ultimate fit and comfort. Shield RW-9 uses a seamless construction with ultra-soft stretchable material. There are two different woven materials in key areas; thin stretch Nomex for comfort and mobility as well as a double perforated Nomex for increased breathability and ultimate comfort.
The minimal seams are stitched flat with thin specialized thread for added comfort. All Shield RW-9 pieces are treated with Sparco X-Cool Silver which draws heat from the body surface to cool the driver. In addition to cooling the driver, X-Cool Silver treatment has an anti-bacterial effect. The Shield RW-9 collection has pieces to fit every driver's style, including short-sleeved nomex t-shirts, long-sleeved nomex shirts, nomex pants, nomex balaclava, and nomex socks.
